Welcome! Here you'll find a collection of stories involving antique farm tractors I own and/or have restored. Some posts may also just be tractors I read about in magazines, online or saw at shows that I wanted to share. You may think a 19 year old boy such as myself may not be as well-versed with antique tractors as an older farmer but I may just surprise you! I'm an avid International Harvester collector ready to share information! Enjoy my blog, feel free to stay for as long as you'd like.

Scene From a Bike Ride
As a landscaper, I'm a lover of beautiful scenery such as this. About two months ago I went for a 12 mile bike ride after work and I came across this scenic sight about a mile from my house. I often see scenery such as this near my house but since I was on a bike this time I decided to stop and take some photos. As I gazed into the hay field I felt like I was somewhere far away, somewhere serene, regardless to the fact that I was on the side of a main (sort of) road. This behemoth is a mid 1960s International 656 Hydro with a John Deere hay mower behind it. Not the type of tractor I collect but I figured if I enjoyed this view then so would someone else.

This about me provides a clear description of who the author is and why exactly he's writing this blog. Romeo discusses about his love for antique tractors and facts about himself. The description sums up that in this blog he will be discussing antique tractors, and stories about antique tractors. It informs us on the purpose he wants people to get out of reading his blog. The first post shows a beautiful landscape picture. He describes his love for a good scenery and breaks down the detail of the tractor in the picture. It could be improved by telling us a little more about the tractor
ReplyDeleteAbout me:
ReplyDeleteThe author provided a very good detailed description himself. From the section I can tell that the author is passionate about antique farm tractors. He did a good job at wording this section in a way that tells the reader that the author simply created the Blog because he loves the antiques. The authors excitement over the topic makes me want to find out more about trackers, so I can also feel the same way towards the topic.
Description:
Clearly indicates that the focus of the blog is going to be informing his audience about antique trackers. However, I’m not sure if the purpose of creating the blog is clearly stated. From the description I can tell it’s because of the author’s passion, but the description just tells the reader what he’s going to be talking about. I would just include more of how the author loves the topic and is sharing information get more people interested or to reach out to more people who are passionate about antique trackers. That will tell the audience more about why you’re creating the blog.
First Post:
First post introduces the reader to an interesting story telling style that works to help not only provide information, but paint a visual of exactly how the author feels towards the topic. Immediately hooks the reader to wanting to know more, just by how the information is presented.
The about me is very well written it gives information of why he is writing this blog, and what else he enjoys doing, and other facts about him. I thought the blog description had enough information about what he will be writing about and focusing on. Romeo picked a great first post I enjoyed the picture and also thought that it painted a visual as if you were with him looking at the tractor with him.
